Mobility, Flexibility, Strength - The Truth In this hands-on session we will take a deep dive into the proper application of mobility training and its role in big lifts, including the application of flexibility work and the myths associated with it. Various practical drills and stretching analogies/visuals will be incorporated to help you understand how functional range of motion can be achieved and maintained. Come prepared to move, learn and debunk some common myths. ----- ABOUT LEE Lee Boyce is a strength coach, college professor, fitness writer, speaker and published author based in Toronto, Ontario. A former university level track athlete (sprints, long jump) and Kinesiology major, Boyce attributes this blend of theoretical and practical experience to his depth of understanding regarding the human body, biomechanics, and technical coaching and cueing to help people simplify concepts that can be difficult to grasp. ​ Follow him on social media @coachleeboyce, and explore his new book Strength Training for All Body Types: The Science of Lifting and Levers, co-authored with Melody Schoenfeld, and Published by Human Kinetics. ​ Lee is the most prolific fitness writer in the world working today, having been published over 1200 times in print and online, across dozens of the world's most popular publications including Men's Health, Muscle & Fitness, Men's Journal, Oxygen, Shape, STRONG, Inside Fitness and Esquire. He's a 16th year personal trainer, and frequently speaks internationally at industry conferences to help trainers get better at their jobs, and currently has a partnership with the department of education for Goodlife Fitness where he delivers workshops around Canada.
